It’s been a week since Apple launched new iOS, Mac, and iPad operating system versions but still, Apple lovers are not able to come out of Vision Pro 🙂 This article covers detailed features of the new MacOS 14 Sonoma, Beta dates, and which all compatible Mac models going to receive the new Sonoma.
Video Conferencing with reaction animations, float over share screen, and new background filters.
- Float over the screen while presenting – Though WFH culture is now fading away slowly, Apple has added some innovation in web conferencing features. When you present any decks, data, or business you can highlight yourself (Cute or Handsome face) over any part of the screen with Mac OS Sonoma. Currently, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex by Cisco support this feature in the beta version. More video conferencing tools to support this feature in the coming weeks.
- Camera Frame – As you can see in the above image, now Apple lets you select the frame size while appearing on video calls – This feature supports both Studio frame and iPhone as the camera.
Brand New Slow-mo Screensavers
- To bring a more refreshing experience to your Mac screens, Apple is introducing New Slow-mo screensavers of the most iconic locations across the globe. The screensaver video will be pre-configured as part of Mac OS Sonoma. I am too excited to replace my boring static wallpaper with the new screensaver videos, hope it is the same with you guys 🙂
New Wide Desktop Widgets
- Mobile to Desktop Widget – Now Apple lets you add any widgets from iPhone to Mac Desktops without installing any apps and live data feeds you can see on both screens.
- Add a widget at any part of desktop screen – With MacOS Sonoma, wow Apple lets you add a widget at any part of the desktop screen instead of relying on the right sidebar.
With all the major upgrades above, MacOS Sonoma will have more additional features like using any website like an Apple in Safari, the most secured Password sharing, enhanced iMessage application, and gaming-friendly functionalities.
